what is eternal life

Life is one of the wonderful creations of God. Right from its tiniest form till it gets decayed or buried after the death, the life faces everything from happiness to the sorrowful situations. During such circumstances, we get so much immersed in them that we forget the real purpose of our life and what’s waiting for us. The latter depends on the former. If you accomplish God’s will, you are then eligible to possess what’s called the greatest gift of life, the ETERNAL LIFE.

This is the promise that He has promised us – “eternal life” – 1 John 2:25

What is Eternal Life?

Eternal life is not like the normal life that we lead on this planet. It is something that occurs after death. The best thing about Eternal Life is that we get to spend most of it with our Almighty God. It is the God’s promise to us. John 3:16 says us so. The arrival of Jesus Christ to the world was to fulfill that promise to us.

John 17:3 says: Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

The bible verse above says one thing clearly. If you love and believe in one and only true God, Jesus Christ, you will be gifted with the eternal life. It is very simple. Isn’t it? All you will have to do is just live a life according to God’s will while you are on this planet. But, if you are living in your own ways against the God’s will, your gift, the eternal life will be taken away from you. Romans 6:23 says us so.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

The eternal life was promised to us even before the beginning of the time. Titus 1:2-3 says us so.

“In the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, 3 and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior” – Titus 1:2-3
