Our God sits high on the throne of Mercy.
Mercy means compassion and forgiveness. It also means showing love at times when its justified to punish someone.
The one who had created us, stands tall on the word Mercy and Grace and God’s unmerited favor is shown through these virtues. The best example to quote this claim is the God’s decision to send His only beloved son to be sacrificed for every single human on this planet.
God the son, extended that mercy and grace for us by obeying the Father and redeeming us by His blood through his selflessness. This is the extreme form of love, selflessness. And Sacrifice is a situation in life wherein you wanted something so badly and you give it away for some reasons.
Desire is another such feeling that we all share in common. And the selflessness doesn’t care about any desire though we cannot comprehend it. To say it in simple words, it is God who loves us while we are sinners and He loves us more than anyone else, despite of what we are. All God wants from you is to get closer to Him. For those of you who think you are away from God, He is always ready for you with an open embrace.
“This is the day of salvation”, says the Bible. So, come to Him irrespective of the way you are to witness your world change for the better. This journey could be tough for some people, all thanks to the way the world is at present, but, it’s all worth it. Because our Ultimate Goal is to go to the Throne of Mercy.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
Coming back to your creator who gives you power and authority besides the abundant agape love, God made man in his own image and gave man the authority over every other being on this planet. And God blessed man to multiply and prosper.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Genesis 1:26 KJV
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”
1 John 5:4 KJV
When you are born of Christ, you are meant to overcome the world. No backing away from that.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 3:21 KJV
It all comes down to one word “Mercy”.
Watch your words and actions by letting the Holy Spirit to lead you. Above all, love unconditionally just like the Christ has loved you.
You can begin this journey by forgiving that co-worker who talks ill behind your back or that boss is constantly nagging you or that neighbor of yours who hurt you or that friend who betrayed you. Just forgive and love. Pray for them that they should also get the wisdom to understand and receive the grace of our Lord Jesus.
God bless you.
